Round Pen Basics

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new monthly event at Riverwood Ranch!

The Horseman’s Social is an after-hours evening designed to bring our horse community together for great conversation, horsemanship education, demonstrations, and a relaxed social atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to expand your knowledge, ask questions, or simply spend an evening visiting with fellow horse enthusiasts, we hope you’ll join us.

Each month we’ll explore a different horsemanship topic through lecture, live horse demonstrations, discussion, and plenty of opportunities for questions. We’ll wrap up the evening around the fire with good company and great conversation.

We’ll discuss the purpose of round pen work, reading horse body language, pressure and release, common mistakes, what we’re looking for, and how quality groundwork builds the foundation for everything under saddle.

6:00 PM – Registration, appetizers, drinks, visiting, and find a seat around the round pen.

6:30–8:30 PM – Round Pen Foundations lecture, live horse demonstrations, discussion, and Q&A.

9:00 PM – Campfire and Barn Social.

Please bring an appetizer to share if you’re able.

Additional beverages will be available for $5 each.

Cost: $50 + GST per person
